So, while you were all in your P.J's eating your bodyweight in Easter eggs, I was doing something a little bit more special.
I was very honoured to be photographing Damian and Lizzy's amazingly beautiful Wedding. Having met this lovely couple a year earlier at a Wedding Fair, we had spent time together and, dare I say, become friends. I just knew their day was going to be a pleasure to work and the images would be truly stunning!
Whilst the ladies got ready at the house, the boys were all together at the Parsonage Hotel, York.
Lizzy looked stunning in her in her A-line, slipper satin dress by Enzonia.
We all loved the fact that it even had little pockets in the front. A true homage to an 'Audrey Hepburn' inspired ballgown.
The ceremony took place at the Bar Convent Chapel. It was a beautiful ceremony, made even more special by the facts that it was Easter Sunday and the chapel is shared with All Saints School, where Lizzy is a teacher.
The weather could not have been better. When we arrived at the hotel the sun was shinning, so much so, that the chauffeur packed away the roof of the car so the bride and groom could make a grand entrance up the sweeping driveway to their awaiting guests.
The weather was glorious for the whole day and we took full advantage of it within the beautiful grounds of Swinton Park.
The setting was beautiful both inside and out.
The day was truly stunning and it was followed by an awesome evening of live music and dancing!
The day was truly amazing, with many beautiful surprises for Lizzy organised by her fabulous husband, including a bracelet from Tiffany, a firework show and a wonderful honeymoon which began in Dubai and ended in Mauritius.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Marsden, may your life together be filled with joy, love and plenty more gifts!
