It's been a busy few months here at JoanneB Photography and only now, have I the time to start sharing some of the lovely weddings that I've captured in the during the summer months.
There has been plenty of tears of joy, delicious cake, lovely dresses, flowers and, I am pleased to say, not too much rain!
First up, one of my favourite and most colourful weddings from back in June.
Karen and Gary, Middletons Hotel, York.
From the first time I met Karen and Gary, I just knew we were a perfect match. They were relaxed about their wedding and just wanted it to be a fun packed day for all their friends and family!
The Sawmill was beautifully decorated by C and P Event Management, the green sashes complimenting the orange accents.
The cupcake tower with the simply decorated cake on top looked lovely. Swirly Sweets always do an awesome job!
The flowers from Heaven Scent were bright and bold.
The ladies all got ready together and Natalie Willingham made sure they all looked their very best!
The Sunroom at Middletons looked fabulous, ready for their intimate wedding ceremony.
Gary and his Bestman, Nigel looked very dapper in their suits from Slaters Menswear and Formal Hire.
After the ceremony we took advantage of the Middletons gardens and the sunshine to do some formal groups.
As well as some gorgeous portraits of the new Mr and Mrs Hodges.
Karen looked stunning in her gown from Because I Love You, Farnsworth, Bolton.
It was by Ronald Joyce and was lace over an organza dress with capped sleeves and a stunning open back, finished with a satin waistband and belt appliqué.
Now, do you remember I said that Karen and Gary wanted a fun packed day? Well they certainly did and a fun packed evening too!
Darren Robinson provided some magic with his close up tricks and Shawn from Cartoon Magic did some hilarious caricatures of the guests as well as the bride and groom.
At the evening function Club Class Entertainment provided the roulette table, the guests enjoyed the face mats that Karen and Gary provided and the appearance of Peter Kay was probably one of the funniest things I have photographed at a wedding so far!
For me, it was a wonderful wedding, I honestly can say I felt like part of the family by the end of the day. Everyone was warm and welcoming, it really wasn't like work at all!
A beautiful gift presented to me by Karen and Gary was so thoughtful and then to be booked by Karen's daughter for her special day next year at Pekforton Castle was the icing on the wedding cake!
Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Hodges X
