On Sunday, the newly refurbished and extended MonkBar Hotel, opened it's doors to welcome in plenty of Bride and Grooms-to-be to their annual wedding fair.
The MonkBar Hotel, York was looking splendid in the late burst of September sunshine. The newly decorated lounge area has to be one of my favourite looking places currently in York. I think any hotel guest would enjoy relaxing and having a cheeky G and T in one of its new sumptuous leather chairs!

Anne from Silk Floral Art was jetting off on holiday but had left her gorgeous stand in someone else's careful hands. I am lucky enough to have one of Anne's displays in my house. It was a gift from a bride after I photographed her wedding. It still looks stunning today, two years later, but then I guess thats the point of silk flowers!

And then of course there was me!
I had a fabulous day, spoke to lots of lovely bride and grooms-to-be as well as seeing lots of old friends from the Wedding industry.
We were all looked after with bacon sandwiches and tea from the Monkbar Hotel and there was even a pastry or two.
It really was a great event and I for one hope to be back at the Monkbar Hotel again soon.
