Woodstock Wedding photography//Louise and Paul

It's not often that I go to a new wedding venue, they don't tend to spring up every week, but back in the summer I had the amazing pleasure of doing just that!

Paul and Louise had chosen to have a smaller mid-week wedding at the brand new Woodstock Weddings and Events, York.

And, wow! What a stunning venue it is. They really have thought of everything. The little touches are sublime and as a photographer I don't think I would ever run out of locations in which to capture the bride and groom.

I know that Paul and Louise booked their wedding at Woodstock because of how unique, relaxed and flexible the venue was.

When I arrived the drinks were already flowing and everyone was happy and relaxed in the outside courtyard and in the converted stables. Louise and Paul wanted a relaxed day and that was exactly what they got.

Louise arrived by car and was ushered into one of the most beautiful stables I have been in. Hidden away from all the guests and the groom to be, she got to relax with her flowergirl and father until it was time to walk across the courtyard to the ceremony.

Louise made a lovely entrance with her father walking her down the aisle. The ceremony itself taking place in front of large bi folding doors, not only meaning that Louise and Paul have a great view but also that the light is beautiful and natural. As the new Mr & Mrs made their way back up the aisle, their guests were ready with the confetti. And I always love a good confetti exit!

After the ceremony it was back into the courtyard for drinks before the speeches, which were followed by some photographs in the grounds of Woodstock.

With sprawling vistas over the countryside, a fabulous lane draped with gorgeous trees, a five bar gate and enclosed green lawned area, it really is easy to capture some gorgeous pictures of the bride and groom without having to disappear for hours on end.

The wedding breakfast which followed, it was an informal affair with a bbq served to everyone and was followed by the most amazing dessert platters I have ever seen.

As the party got started it was time for me to leave, but I am sure that they all had a fabulous evening!

I truly had the best time capturing Louise and Paul's special day at this unique wedding venue!
