Back in May, when the sun was shining, do you remember that? Well, I had the greatest pleasure of capturing Felix and Sadie's wedding at The Grand Hotel.

I first met Felix and Sadie early in 2018, which meant that by the time the wedding came round, we were the best of friends! It was a real joy to see these two lovely people say I DO.

 

 

While Sadie and the ladies got ready in one of the beautiful suites upstairs, Felix, his boys and his family were arriving downstairs.
 

Once everyone was ready, it was time to head to the grand boardroom for the ceremony.

I don't think there is anything more beautiful than a proud father escorting his daughter to her wedding!

Sadie and Felix took the opportunity to write their own vows and recite them in front of their friends and families. There were a few tears shed and while the couple signed the register, Felix was emotionally touched by what had just happened, after all he had just married his best friend!

The grand boardroom looked amazing when it was set and ready for the wedding breakfast. Ambience Venue Styling, did a great job with the blackboards, chairs and sashes, the flowers by Dutch Nurseries were stunning and the cake by Poppy Pickering cakes was chic and stylish.

In between the dinner and the evening reception and while the sun still shone, we took a quick walk over to the bar walls to get the shot that everyone should have on their wedding day if they get married in York!

I can't tell you just how cute all the children were at the wedding. As the DJ played some tunes, the kids just had so much fun! 

 

It was such a lovely day, one I will remember as one of my favourites for a long time to come! Thank you to Sadie and Felix, their friends and family for making my job such a pleasure on their day. I hope my photographs bring them all lots of joy for many years to come.
