York Registry Office is a grade II Georgian listed building set a few hundred yards from York Minster and the city centre.
The larger Bootham Suite room is a superb setting for ceremonies with tasteful decor and a traditional aisle. It's furnished to a high standard, with a York stone floor and state of the art sound system. It is light and bright making it ideal for your ceremony photographs.
The room opens out onto their beautifully landscaped gardens which are the perfect setting for some pictures of your special day. You can make your way down via stepping stones to the lawns, where a large rockery forms the perfect backdrop. Once there it's a great spot for your family group pictures.
As it is located so close to the centre of York it does mean that after you have finished your photographs in the gardens there is always the option to take a stroll down by the river before heading up through the Museum Gardens and onto the Minster Quarter to finish off your perfect wedding day photographs.
